Curriculum Evaluation - Version 1

MAIN TOPIC 2 - CURRICULUM EVALUATION MODELS

Introduction

ONESQA (2015) stated that the evaluation is an essential step which provide the feedback information and identifies the weakness of the education. There are three mainly steps in curriculum development: Curriculum planning, curriculum implementation and curriculum evaluation. The curriculum evaluation is the critical part of its development. The evaluation process shows whether the program is meeting its goals and whether students are learning. Curriculum evaluation is a way to improve student learning by providing content that is current, relevant and accurate. It is also used for acquiring the feedback information for improving the curriculum. Hence, in order to conduct curriculum evaluation, there must be pre-defined standards which is the expected characteristics that we desire in curriculum.
